For so long time, the top three things I hate was not updated, actually I didnt need to update it until this week;

my accumulative experience of the Oracle HRMS was not separated from the HR practices and scenarios... anyway,,, in this post I will try to generalize as much as its possible on one of the most important and critical issues to take care of in your career, which is the "BOSS".
Your boss is the key to future so make sure whenever you can that you have a good one, not in only in the sense that you will be managed well but also that his or her standing in the organization matches your career aspiration. You might be brilliant but if your boss is naff then your brilliance will be considerably dulled. If you want to get someone who is really a good a boss, then
- you will learn and develop more quickly
- when they are promoted you will have a good chance of getting their job
- the boss might take you up with the promotion
- you gain another friend in high places
So, when considering the job, questions to ask could include some of the following:
- How long has the boss been in the job?
- What is his/her standing in the organization?
- Is he/she well respected?
- Is he/she in line for promotion in the near to medium future?
- How does my boss see his/her career developing?
- Has my boss reached his/her peak in career terms?
If you want to be a rising star then work with the brightest star you can. If your boss is not going places, then you will have fat chances too.
